Businesses looking to invest in the UK should look no further than Beacon Business Park in Stafford as High Speed Two (HS2) is set to bring jobs and investment to the local area with a new route and station proposals.
Phase two of the new high speed rail network will link Birmingham with Manchester and Leeds, with trains anticipated to begin operating in 2033. However, Stafford is set to realise the benefits of the new railway much sooner as the government plans to open the part of the route between Birmingham and Crewe in 2027.
Under these plans, hybrid trains would join up with the West Coast Mainline, travelling to Crewe through Stafford and Stoke. There are discussions about a possible station to be situated in Stafford when the route is finalised later this year.
Beacon Business Park already benefits from exceptional transport access due to its central location but the new rail developments will improve this even further. People who choose the business park as a location to set up a UK company will benefit from new, fast links to London, Birmingham, Manchester and Leeds.
The HS2 track will run approximately 1 kilometre from Beacon Business Park, with the proposed station in Stafford only 2.5 miles away. The track will be routed under existing roads, below ground level. This means that business owners looking to purchase commercial property in Stafford will benefit from the increase in connectivity from being close to the line, without having to see or hear it.
