Transerv Europe Ltd receives Gold Safety Excellence Award from Drax Power
Beacon Business Park tenant, Transerv Europe Ltd, received the Gold Safety Excellence Award at the Drax Safety Conference in March. The award, presented by Drax Power, recognises Transerv’s impeccable safety record during works undertaken in 2015.

Drax Power Station is the largest power station in the UK and has a total generating capacity of 4,000 MW. Stafford-based Transerv’s recent work for Drax Power includes the relocation of nine single-phase generator transformers from Littlebrook Power Station in Dartford to Drax Power Station in North Yorkshire. In addition, Transerv completed a triple generator transformer exchange for Drax Power during July 2015.
Transerv formed in April 2013 and specialises in the installation, commissioning and maintenance of power and distribution transformers. They are located at the Beacon Business Park in Staffordshire and recently took on extensive expansion works to double the size of their current facility.
In 2015, Transerv increased its total number of employees by 30 per cent, which included the employment of two apprentices.
With its vibrant order book and a first class health and safety culture demonstrated by this award, Transerv looks set to continue its impressive growth during 2016.
